There is no prefession called photography. You have to have some other job to support it. You can be a journalist with a camera, or a biologist with a camera, or a wedding consultant with a camera, etc. But there is no job called "photographer".
I think you should be an animator try using maya, blender and Photoshop or any animation software... I really like it as well, so that why am pushing you to pursue what you really wanted.
