Bringing your pet into School sounds quite exciting, and I know a lot of people would want to do that.

What kind of animal is it? Are you not sure how the pet will react? Perhaps there are ways of making it a calmer environment for the pet, as a School environment can be daunting due to the various people, scents, sounds and overall different environment. If there's a risk of frightening the animal, then it's best to refrain.

Allergies is an important thing to regard as well. You will need to know if anyone has allergy to animals.

If you want to do well with the School topic, there could be some other way to match up bringing your pet in, if possible. Perhaps you could make a recording or slideshow of your pet and play to to the class.
