People. I need some opinions and views about a scenario. 4 people are involved in this matter.?

...  Let's name them A, B, C, D.

A told B that C is telling a lot of people shits about D. So B informed D to warn him about C. A also added he isn't scared because he is telling the truth.

When D asked C why he do that, C is totally lost and swear that he didn't do it.

So, C asked A nicely, why is he spreading fake rumours? A denied any knowledge on this matter and said that he had not contact B for quite some time already.

Please comment what are your views on this matter, especially about A and C.

Well, A and C obviously have some sorting out to do- apart from sticking them in a room and locking the door until they make up, C should just leave A to their own devices and get on with a less dramatic and stressful life.

Have you ever considered the possibility of an outside party? Maybe E has it in for this group of people? Perhaps jealousy is a motive. Were A and C close? Where is this scenario taking place as many other people could have a hand in this if it is school, work or club related.
