Paypal - I don't want to give up my social security number. Can I still apply for a Paypal cash?

Usually, PayPal doesn't ask for your social security number at signup. It asks for it when you want to transfer funds to your linked bank account.

If you don't provide them they will not allow you to withdraw your funds but you can even then use your funds for shopping online or paying your family and friends or to your customers.
