Hi!
I have an idea for a painting and I'm looking for a paint visible only with lights off. Something like fluorescent or phosphorescent paint, but it has to be completely invisible when it's not dark and I'm not sure if phosphorescent one will be like this. It can work on white or black paper - doesn't matter.
Thanks for help!
Paint visible only in the dark?

You could buy some glow in the Dark paint which should do, but then you'd have to apply a very thin layer if you'd not want it to be seen at day... If you would apply a think layer you'd might get a slight greenish tint to it.. Maybe you could use a black light if you paint a thin layer? But then you'd have to keep it on..A Suggestion..
Fluorescent, which is spelled fluorescent, means it radiates visible light when exposed to light of a shorter wavelength. Phosphorescent means pretty much the same but the effect continues after the incident light is turned off. You can buy the paint in any art supply store. It is often called GITD ("glow in the dark").
Here's a place you should know about: www.sciplus.com/
I know how these two work. It was just an example of how I want it to look like in the dark. The problem is - both of them are visible also with the lights on. Anyway, thanks for the link, I'm going to check this out!
If you feel an urge to use a black light to get continuous flourescent action, remember to position it above and behind the viewer. Ultraviolet can injure the eyes if the source is directly visible.
Are you talking about some specific brand or name of this paint? Any link would be helpful. And many thanks for your answer, maybe a thin layer would do the job. I have to experiment I guess.
