My outdoor cat developed an ear hematoma suddenly. I took her to vet twice for draining, wrapping ear and cone collar and bandage. Twice now the bandage has come off after a few days(I guess of her shaking head and butting it into anything she can find). The swelling has not gone down either time. It is still swollen and obviously full of blood. I have kept her on the porch for two weeks now and she is miserable. Has anyone had any luck with home treatments? And what should I do now, I can't afford to get the treatment again and it doesn't work anyway. Need help. I'm a wreck and so is she.
