The principle of life or living; the animate existence, or term of animate existence, of an individual.
The Bible says, we were created, by a Creator who himself was Not created but has always existed, therefore Life has always existed because he has no beginning or end of existence. "With you is the source of life,by your light we can see light". Psalms 36:9
To different people, based on what they believe or have been taught to believe, life has a broad spectrum of beliefs. For myself, I am a factual person, seeing is not always believing. Just taking things for face value does not always make it true.
This causes a person to ask "Why are we here, Where did we come from, and What is the purpose of life".
Life on earth could never exist were it not for a series of very fortunate “coincidences,” some of which were unknown or poorly understood until the 20th century.
For me an examination of the Bible proved to be very beneficial. When I compared what the the Bible say to what evolution claims, the Bible's explanation gave me a more factual and logical explanation.
The Bible says, at Romans 1:20 "For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship".
Life, someone once said, "Is what you make it". However, It first starts with the knowledge of your creator and his purpose for us. John 17:3 says, "This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ".
Continued life, a better life, a rewarding life, comes from knowing, who you are, why you are, and where you are going in this life. For me life has meaning when you give a meaning to life.
Things possessing life generally have the capabilities of growth, metabolism, response to external stimuli, and reproduction. In earthly creatures, there is both the active life-force, or spirit, and breath that sustains that life force. Both spirit and breath are provisions from God.
