One Simple Question About Chemical Engineering.!?

The Faculty is called ( Petroleum and Chemical Engineering) and the department is (Chemical Engineering) . So this is just like any other chemical Eng. Or its more involved with Oil/Petrol ? (Because of the faculty Name)

It essentially deals with the engineering of chemicals, energy and the processes that create and/or convert them. Modern chemical engineers are concerned with processes that convert raw materials or chemicals into more useful or valuable forms.

Basically chemical engineering will involve the general knowledge of the subject, but the direction would be in petroleum to make it more practical. Taking language learning as example it would be easier to understand. There is general Spanish, but for better application There may be a department named Spanish Translation or something else.- BOC Sciences inhibitor
