I don't want to end up getting really depressed again because I can't handle having my period. Any suggestions on how to stop or at least lessen how heavy it is to stop me from having the anxiety and depression that comes with it?

sorry to see you go through such a thing i would report that to the dr that you started having one did it go away or calm down any periods can be hard to deal with the depression along with anxiety did you feel any different when it came the little bit i would talk to your dr tell him how you felt when your period tried to start good thing to keep him aware of whats going on you also ask him if there is a med you can take to help with the depression and anxiety
I'm on meds for the depression and anxiety and the period. This is the first time that this happened though I just need a way to stop it or at least slow it down until I'm able to see them again. I felt the same as I had before when it just started (depressed, anxious, and can't stop shaking) I heard that drinking a ton of water might help but are there things I should avoid eating or drinking that could make it worse? I was told that eating red meat could make the period worse but I'm not sure. Thanks for your help!
