Alright, so i had a gaming pc just built. its a bit lower end but almost perfect for what im doing. I have :
Gigabyte baseboard with a "AMD A10-7850K Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G" processor.
4 X 4 Gb Ripjaws Ram cards (16 Gb total).
Radeon RX 560 (single fan version *lower of the two versions*) graphics card.
50' 5400 series Phillips 4k smart tv (updated) as a monitor. (display settings at 3840 X 2160)
*Cpu and Gpu are older models, but never used out of the box. 1 Month old being used.*
Now let me explain, im new please be patient. I run alot of dolphin emulation. Planet side 2, and other games. The biggest problem i am having, is that now matter how low i have my settings especially on dolphin emulator. I drop to 23 - 29 fps constantly. 5 - 11 if i run it a bit higher settings.
Heres the deal. Ive went into bios. Turned off cool & quiet setting, A6 core settings, and turned on turbo mode limit 40 to get 3.95 hertz, surpassing the 3.6 standard. Still have loss of fps.
The graphics card, i have went into wattman, turned up gpu to 5%, memory to 1900, and power limit 25%. With or without cpu settings, still loss of frame rate.
Im really lost, but i know this. If i turn my bios cpu settings up to high (3.79+), my gpu will not work. Fan turns on but will not allow me to use that hdmi plugin. I must use integrated graphics, which is far less capable. Also when i open my AMD settings, my gpu doesnt even show up. Usually when i use intergrated graphics, it shows up as secondary/discreet. But not when overclock my cpu to high.
If i turn my wattman gpu settings to high my monitor decides to turn a random color, and i must restart my computer and reapply settings into wattman.
I am trying to run my emulation at 1080p without dropping below 30 fps. So more over i assume, i could be wrong, over clocking will get me where i need to get.
Also i have heard there is a way to make your gpu and intergrated graphics "work together?" Is that possible for mine? If so, how do i get it to do that?
I will have put everything back to basic settings when i have posted this.
Much appreciated.
