I'm trying to plan how to repeatedly embarrass my macho brother at work. I'm thinking of getting him a subscription (at his work address) to needlecraft or womens' magazines so that he'll get wound up about it every month (or week?). I need to know which has a transparent wrap so the magazine detail will be visible. Also what a macho guy would least like to be associated with: crochet, sewing, knitting, cross-stitch, something else? I'm also thinking about subscribing him to womens clothing catalogues, but need suggestions as to which stores stock only women's clothing (I don't want him to be able to claim he's looking at the mens section!). Finally, any other ideas, again with the idea of repeated embarrassment and playing on his machoness. Please help, he REALLY has this coming and deserves to be knocked down a few notches.

The way to take someone down a few notches is to show better character than them. He is your own brother, and will be through your whole life, so it's better to just endure the things you dislike, talk to him politely about his attitude where possible, and to treat him respectfully until such a time as he matures a bit. Anything that embarrasses him will ultimately reflect on your whole family. And if/when you tell him that you did this magazine thing, he will only try to retaliate in some way. Living with a clean conscience in peaceful relations with family and friends is something really worth striving for.
Sorry if this isn't what you were hoping to hear... :-)
