Does a riddle work? I know one (it's a guess-what-happened). You tell the story, then you tell the audience to ask yes-or-no questions until they think they're confident that they know what really happened.
Anyways, here is the question:
A man and his friend go to a restaurant to celebrate something. They cheerfully order seagull soup. As soon as the man takes a spoonful of the soup, he runs away and commits suicide. The seagull soup wasn't poisoned, the man was a perfectly sane. Why is that? Hint: The man went into an accident about two weeks ago.
The story:
Two weeks ago, the man, his friend, and his wife were out on a cruise ship. They get shipwrecked on an island. The wife gets sick and die. They bury her.
Afterwards, they can't find any food, and the man refuses to eat his wife. He gets sick. The friend, doing it for the good, digs up the wife and makes her into a soup. He feeds it to the man and tells the man that it is seagull soup.
The man instantly recovers and they get rescued the next day. Two weeks later, the man and his friend celebrate their survival and order seagull soup, the food that the man believed saved his life.
The man realizes that the seagull soup tastes different, and doesn't need any explaining. He commits suicide to join his wife.
Another riddle:
An angry dragon is trying to blow out his birthday candles.
I made a typo for "type". Sorry.
Oops, type. I meant to say "A joke".
