My husband cashed a check from his new job last week not knowing it was a receipt and was direct deposited the amount a few hours later. My husband thought it was from the first week of training and the direct deposit was from the first actual work week. Well here's the issue now the owner of the gas Station my husband cashed the check at called my husband saying it didn't go through and if he pays him the $900 plus $50 the bank charges for it being a false check in fear of my husband getting a felony we are considering paying it back due to it being a honest mistake but my husband feels like this is a scam in which well ultimately pay him twice he's asking us to write a letter to the bank stating he borrowed the money with his drivers license number and signature. Yet he never carded my husband and were worried in trying to avoid a felony things will get worse please help.

so was this a check he has already been paid for meaning has he already been paid for the work he did and this is something that would have been paid twice if your husband actually owes the money i would contact the owner company make sure that this is actually what is owed before you pay it and that company is the one who needs to be paid the money back that way your not being scammed and everything is on the up and up
