well here goes d definitions:-
1. Point - A point is an exact position or location on a plane surface. It is important to understand that a point is not a thing, but a place. We indicate the position of a point by placing a dot with a pencil. This dot may have a diameter of, say, 0.2mm, but a point has no size. No matter how far we zoom in, it would still have no width. Since a point is a place, not a thing, it has no dimensions.
2. Plane - A plane is a flat surface on which a straight line joining any two points on it would wholly lie. It is 2 dimensional in shape and has width and breadth, but no thickness.
3. Line - A line is one-dimensional. It has zero width. In geometry however, a line has no width. A straight line is the shortest distance between any two points on a plane.A line is therefore a geometric figure formed by a point moving along a fixed direction and the reverse direction.
4. Collinear points - The points lying on the same line are called collinear points. Two points are always collinear, since a straight line can always be drawn through two points.
5. Concurrent lines - A set of lines or curves are said to be concurrent if they all intersect at the same point.
6. Parallel lines - The lines are said to be parallel if they lie in the same plane, and are the same distance apart over their entire length.Parallel lines remain the same distance apart over their entire length. No matter how far we extend them, they will never meet.
7. Intersecting lines - Two or more lines that meet at a common point are called intersecting lines and that point is called "Point Of Intersection". All the intersecting lines form angles at the point of intersection.
A point is a dot that does not lie on a plane. A line is a set of points joined together and it lies on a plane. Co linear points are points that lie on the same line. Parellql lines are a set of lines that will never meet even if extended indefinately. Intersecting lines are those that meet at a point which is common to both lines, ex a crossroad. They meet in the middle at the point that lies on both roads/lines.
