I haven't needed it, but I heard and read positive reviews about Rogaine for men. It is a hair product that is suppose to help your natural hair grow back.
I've also read that things like too much alcohol and low testosterone levels can contribute to hair loss, stressful jobs and simply genetics and family history.
But if you are going wig shopping, what ever you do, don't buy wigs for women, it's weird. If you can't find something you like, some men actually look good bald but it is a required look of course. Rogaine shouldn't cost more than 30 dollars for a one month supply of 2 fluid ounces and the price varies with each seller.
