I'm writing a story about two sisters who sort of have a love/hate relationship. They don't usually show physical affection but in an upcoming chapter I want the older one to find the younger one in a situation where she needs comfort and the older one hugs her.
Any ideas what could cause the older one to feel the need to hug the younger.
(their ages are 19 and 17)
Maybe the younger child you have faced a similar problem (bullying, boyfriend, ect) that the older one had went through and she remembers what it had been like when she had had the problem and remembers how lonely she had felt and she didn't want the younger one to feel like she had to through this problem alone.
