I just located my father and I am not sure how to approach him. I want to get to know him since I know so little about him. I do have contact info. What should I do?

Be careful! You might try a phone call first. If he sounds on the up and up, you might arrange a meeting at a neutral site, like a cafe or coffeehouse. Then you can size him up and using your best instincts, go from there. Let somebody know where you're going to be, and don't give out any really personal information until you know him better. I'm cautious because it sounds like he's never been interested in finding or knowing you. Take care and good luck bud.
