My younger sister is more loved than me, what do I do?

I'm the oldest of three siblings and whenever anything happened, I got the blame because I was the oldest and should know better. My younger two siblings were definitely more spoiled than I was and I often thought I was a "practice kid" for them to make their mistakes on.

Talking to my younger siblings when we'd all grown up, they had problems too. The youngest felt like his voice was always last to be heard and that I got to do things he couldn't (like stay up late or go out with my friends for longer). The middle child felt a bit alone because she's a girl and me and my brother are boys. I still think I got the worst deal but hadn't realised their lives weren't perfect either.

I don't know how you deal with it, by the way. I never really managed to and my siblings are a lot closer to my parents now than I am.

First off, I am sorry you feel this way. This is a nasty situation to be in and nobody should go through this. What I think you should do is talk to your parents about it. See what they say and if they tell you are making this up or are overeating simply listen to them for a bit until step two. The second step would be to talk to a person close to that also has good contact with your parents you about it such as a grandparent, aunt or uncle, or a close friend to them. When you tell them these things ask them if they could talk to your parents about it. If all of this fails write them a long polite letter about how you feel and then see if they respond.
