My x and I are still on good terms, him and my adult children live in the house and he pays for everything with help from the kids, but my boyftiend wants it sold and settled, I see it as an investment for latter in my life, I dont know what to do.

Well if your boyfriend wants the proceeds from the sale of the house thats wrong your not married to him so he really doesn't have a say in the sale. He wants the money then he doesn't want you talking or having anything to do with your ex sounds like he wants to control your life.What happens with it i would have a sit down talk with your boyfriend on the boundaries sounds like he is insecure.
