Suggestion one: In your Start menu, search for 'dev' and open devices and printers. Then right click on your adapter and click the option to do with updating device driver software. THIS MAY TAKE A COUPLE OF HOURS TO WORK AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE INTERNET THROUGH YOUR PC WHILE IT'S WORKING. ALSO I WOULD NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS ON WINDOWS 8 AND IT ONLY WORKS FOR START MENUS WITH A SEARCH BAR.
Suggestions two, if you already have the latest software installed (but you can't tell until you've tried step one): Call your internet provider and get them to change the PC Wireless Channel Select.
Hope this works.
