I use mods, and custom content(I prefer to use package files). My game was fine a couple of days ago, but then an error occurred and my game just keeps on crashing. I recently started to merge files to have my game run smoother, so I thought that would be a problem, but I don't think that's the case. I also un-installed and reinstalled all of my expansions/stuff packs and store content twice actually, and it made no difference whatsoever. I also tried to remove all my CC and my complete Mods folder, but that also made no difference when it came to the game crashing. My game loads up fine, lets me choose the world, loads the world, and lets me into CAS whenever, but when I try to move a household into a house, it doesn't load, instead it crushes, and it doesn't seem to matter whether I have CC or Mods installed. I use core and overwriting mods such as Nraas or default replacements, but as far as I'm aware everything that needs to be is up to date(patch 1.67). I also thought that maybe some of my CC/Mods might have corrupted, so I deleted them and re-downloaded my most preferred Mods, Defaults and CC, that I think is essential for me to enjoy my game, but again with no luck. Another thing I noticed is that in my Sims 3 launcher, every time I click on the installed content my game launcher crashes and says that an error occurred and that it is looking for solutions. Other than that, my launcher seems to work perfectly fine and open up everything else. I spend the entire day reinstalling all my EPs/SPs and it hasn't solved any of my problems. I don't know if the following details will be of use, but I'll write it down just in case:
- Most of my Mods include Nraas mods(woohooer, traveler, career, master controller, story progression, mover and portrait panel), Brntwaffles' lighting mod, Simlicious Default eyes and teeth, nointro, cigarette mod, toddler interactions, ESkin's default skin, Superhamper, cmar's pregnancy controller and sliders, picass0blue's baby clothing override, teen delivery, poseplayer, and I think thats about it.
- Other CCs I got is mostly from tumblr, these include CC from people like Ctenid(hair retextures), Anubis360, Kijiko, Kewai-Dou, LapizLazuli, Rayne, Pixicat, ModishKitten, ESkin, S-Club, ChazzyBazzy, Newsea, Cazy, Sjoko, JS Sims, Tifa, Mochi, M1ssduo, Gosik, and tattoos/poses from various artists.
- I've got Late Night, World Adventures, Generations, Into The Future, Island Paradise, Seasons, Supernatural, Pets, Ambitions, University, Showtime and Townlife Stuff. All my Expansion packs are on a physical CD, but I downloaded Townlife from Origin when the free bundle happened. I've also got most of the store content(Worlds, CAS items, objects etc).
- I often clear my Cache files, and my Screenshots, so it doesn't slow my game down(I pretty much clear it every time before I start my game up).
I tried to include as much detail as possible, to make it easier to figure out the problem. If anybody can tell me a solution, I will really appreciate it, because Sims is one of my most loved and played games, and it simply kills me to have the game continuously crashing on me.
