My parents are just selling off everything that I paid for. Isn't this theft?

So I have a scooter that I ride all the time. Then one day I couldn't find it, so I asked my parents where it was. They told me they sold it, without even telling me.
If they at least told me they were going to sell it, I wouldn't be so upset.
Isn't this pretty much theft?
