Ok, my mom said choir was an easy A. Which is fine with me except for two small infractions; One: I'm afraid to sing in public and two I'm NOT a good singer. I already told the counselor I was interested so I want to do it. But I need tips to improve my voice AND get over my fear of singing in public. PLEASE RESPOND QUICKLY! MY TRYOUTS ARE IN LIKE A WEEK!

first thing first about how can you improve do more practice, that is the best way to developed your voice and make it a good one, do vocalization to prepare your voice before singing it is good to do in the morning but kinda hard. If you know ginger tea it help a lot and take care of your voice don't eat too much sweets and do not drink so much juices that is cold.Next is its hard for you to sing in public but think of it as your using your talent not to please anybody but yourself always sing from your heart be confident about yourself because you know that you can do it well. good luck
To improve your voice practice daily, and think, what notes sound best when you sing and what do you need to improve?
And also To get rid of your fear in singing in publuic, they'll be other people in the choir, so your not alone, you can also sing to a your pets, stuff animals (I know, the stuffed animals aren't the best audience but whatever!), and your parents or siblings!
Good luck! :)
