There is something wrong with my mom she has completely lost her mind and I don't know what to do, it has come to the point where she can't even function in normal life or will not send my brother to school. My brother is 8 and has autism so he needs extra attention. My mom refuses to get psychiatric help so I have no choice but to have her hospitalized I'm afraid to do this because I am unable to care for my brother I'm the only one that works in m house (it's just me her and my brother) and I'm going to school full time (I'm a 21 year old female) what should I do?
My mom has schitzophrenia and my younger 8 year old brother has autism what should I do?

It sounds like you are in a very difficult situation. I feel for you! If your little brother really isn't going to school enough I would suggest speaking with his teacher, or the counselor at his school about your options. I am a teacher and I know that there is a support system in place in the schools to help you if you are willing to ask for it.
Since you do not have any other family you can reach out to, you are in a tough spot. Just to warn you, the subject of putting your brother in a foster home or a special education school full time residential may come up. If you really cannot care for your brother the way he needs, this may not be the worst option, especially if your mom is as bad off as it sounds. I would recommend seeking to have him placed in a special residential school for students with autism, if he is low functioning. This is a better solution than foster care. DO NOT go for that unless it is the LAST option. There are not enough regulations in place for foster care and often special needs kids are mistreated there. Schools have more regulations and you can visit him there to check in. I hope this helps.
