I haven't seen my mom in almost a year and we don't get along. I find myself crying a lot now about her and I have no idea what to do.

I don't think you need to be told how you should feel do you? Your true emotions are being displayed.
Everything is fine when you think you have unlimited time to solve your relationship issues if you choose to. Then someone mentions terminal cancer and there is no more unlimited future date time.
It makes the problem seem not so big or so important and maybe you should take the high road. You spend time together even if you stop trying to be right or pointing out how the other is wrong. If you don't you have unfinished business at the time of her passing and that can never be undone. Dont let a life time of wish I had...be in your head.
Call her or send a lovely card saying thinking of you and ask if you can meet.
I wish you the best and don't let pride keep you from spending time with your mom unless whatever happened was illegal or caused a few years of therapy. You'll be glad you did.
