Be thankful. By the time you are 30 you will be griping that Mother Nature kicks you in the belly every month.
TIP: All of life will be much nicer if you study some books about nutrition. For example, millions of kids wet the bed and that is prevented by just a small dose of epsom salts. And your period might start if you just swallow some salad oil now and then.

Every body is different. Your body is obviously not quite ready yet for fertility, but at 13 you are still well and truely in the normal range. Some girls don't get their periods till 16 or 17 years of age. It has nothing to do with embarrassment or "something is wrong". Don't be scared, it will probably happen very soon. Also most women would rather NOT have their periods actually, you will find out very soon that it can be a nuisance and may wish it away again. Be happy and enjoy your last few weeks/months of freedom. :-)
