My laptop was working fine the other day, i turned it own the next day, and about 4-5 minutes after logging in, it froze. I couldn't open anything. From the internet to the start menu to task manager. I couldn't shut it down either without holding the power button. Before it froze on me, i opened task manager, it said that i was using 100% disk. I checked the driver tan the smart test, and it passed. So the driver is okay for all i know. I finally got to safe mode and ran a bunch of scans but found no virus. I am worried if this a super virus, or i am missing something. I need help.

it sounds like there are errors on the registry and if you have not defraged i would i also would free some data up of things you have in it you don't use sometimes adobe flash needs to be updated for better performance java is another one that needs to be updated you can go to uninstall programs that you don't use very often if you have ads running this will also make it freeze up theses cause you to add other advertisements you don't need finally try and see how much memory it has because when your short on memory this can happen when you go to different places that use more memory scan disk can help you get rid of data files you don't need look for spyware detection and malware detection theses are put on our computers thats how hackers get our information and shut down your computer with programs that can cause it
