Basically if we don't come in at 6:15 am we are either written up, sent home and some cases, fired... But they refuse to pay us until 7am.
On the other side, some days they will hold us at work for 45 minutes to 2 hours, unable to leave, as the supervisors do paperwork, and do not pay us for being stuck there.
I'm trying to figure out if this is legal, as we are all being ripped off for 7-15 extra hours a week being held "hostage" at work.
It's been discussed, several times. They retain the statement "Just because your here doesn't mean your working."
The thing they don't seem to understand is, I'm not at work to be there 13 hours (working) and be stuck an additional two hours waiting for some idiot to tell me I can go home.
Louisiana has a lot of corrupt laws that protect businesses, the LAWorks office (basically our dept of labor) won't even comment on the situation for me.
