My iphone 3 wont activate it keeps saying temporarily down how can I fix this ?

i tried doing it by itunes still didnt work it all happened after my phone got stuck because i jailbroke it and tried update software

i think i would be calling or taking it into where you bought it and ask them what you do with a iphone 3 start there
