My grandfather died and my mother doesn't know about it yet. Should I tell her?

So today I received a call from my uncle telling me that my grandfather died and he told me to not tell anyone about it including my mother since she had a mental breakdown before and I know that she loves my grandfather so much. Also I know that it's not fair to not tell her. Thanks.
