My friend didn't win a 1/10 chance gamble and calls himself unlucky. Is that grammatically correct?

You can't determine if your unlucky by one game lmao. If he lost, its probably because he doesn't know how to play his cards well. Not because he's "unlucky"

Yes, grammatically correct.

An investment is betting with good odds. A gamble is betting with lousy odds. Losing a gamble is not "unlucky", it's just dumb because you shouldn't have gambled. You should have held out for a game with better odds.
