Okay my father has some kind of dementia, diagnosed Parkinson disease and is severely overweight. He goes through periods of being lucid and periods of him screaming for help for hours and when you finally do go help him all he wanted was a pillow behind his back or a drink of water, and he calls 911 so much that they said they would turn him into social services. But they still continue to come help him off the floor when he gets on the floor, the last call to 911 was to come to his house and warm up food for him. but when they threatened social services that was two months ago and every time social services has came they won't do anything stating that he can take care of himself. We are at our wits end, I really don't want to go through the process of trying to declare him unfit to make decisions for himeself but it is coming to that point. Can anyone please help me to figure out what to do??
And as a side note he did agree to go to a rehab/nursing facility but he was there two days and signed himself out, he refuses any and all help that can be provided. What do we do.
sorry i wasn't really paying much attention to my grammar and punctuation. they won't take him into a nursing facility because they say he can take care of himself because when he goes to doctors appointments he puts forth every effort to look and act normal, no doctors or nurses or social service workers see what we see. and 911 has already threatened more times than we can count that they'll press charges or fine him, they've gotten to the point where they come help and leave they don't even say all the lines they used to give us.
