I have a 1998 Honda XR 70cc my Dad bought it for me a long time ago and I enjoy riding it around the property. About a month ago I was riding right after it had rained and I saw a puddle that was at least 3 ft deep. I thought it would be fun to ride it back and forth through it. on my 3rd time riding through it, right in the middle of the puddle the bike sputtered and the engine died. I tried cranking it 5 times with no luck so I walked it back home. The next I went out and tried to crank it and to my surprise it did. However when I took off I noticed something. Every time I would pull the throttle to certain point the bike would start making a gurgling sound and the engine would start to die. So now I can only accelerate very slowly and only go to a certain speed before the engine starts to die again and I have to let off the throttle so I won't stop. I only know a little about mechanics but not a lot so I have no idea what's wrong with it. My guess is water got in it somewhere but I'm not certain. I would appreciate it if someone could help me figure out the problem. Thanks
