... under law a farmer can shoot a dog on his property if it is endangering his livestock or a person. However this was not what these two dogs where doing they where being walked by my cousins father my uncle and when the farmer went to shot the dogs my uncle called for him to stop. The dogs where not harming anyone and the farmer could have simply asked my uncle to leave. Also the dogs have been walked through this field before and never has the farmer stressed any concern that the dogs where causing stress to his sheep. I understand that when a dog is dangerous or chasing a farmers animals he has a right to shoot the dog on sight as stress to the animal can cause a lot of problems. But do we have any right at all when we no this was not the case? Can anyone shed some light on what we can do now or is it just a lost cause?
Sorta the dogs were your cousins dogs and the farmer might have done something illegal.
