My computer uses space incredibly quickly?

I once had 6gb and after 20 minutes it had gone down to 5.52gb

Operating system: Windows 8.1 Acer laptop

you should follow some steps
1) Increase the memory
2) Clean up the Browser Toolbar
3) Get and run Trusted Anti-Virus Program
4) Check the Hard Disk Space
5) Defragment the Hard Disk
