A few days ago my cat was cleaning herself and was making a weird meow while she did so. I looked at her and found that her chin was completely irritated, had black spots all over it, and was scabbed from a wound. The next day I went to the pet store and the staff told me to buy this spray for her. It is "Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Spray for Cats & Dogs" This spray seemed to be working, but when I put it on her she continuously scratched it until her entire chin became completely raw and bleeding. I bought her a E cone and put antibiotic & pain relief ointment on her chin about an hour ago instead of the spray because the wound is open. I am worried about her and do not know what to do anymore to help her. All of the fur in the area has been replaced with raw skin. I feel like the wound keeps getting worse now. I do not have the money to take her to the vet. What should I do? (This won't let me upload pictures for whatever reason)
