First things first, I clean her box three to fours times a day and a heavy clean with extremely diluted soap once every two weeks. Use the same litter she used to always use since kitten age when we didn't have issues, no enclosure and she has a whole fricken empty room with her box and cat tree all to herself.
Now, about two months ago I noticed my cat would pee just outside the box, no where else in the house. Got her checked again, no medical issues. Now it's to a point where I'll clean her box out, and she will walk in while I'm watching and stand in the box, hang her butt over and do her business. She'll poop in the box it's only uriniating she'll do outside the box while hanging her butt over the side (caught her on video multiple times) her box is plenty long and wide enough, I get boxes twice as big as the cat is long and wide. I've owned so many cats (all one at a time) and have never had this issue.
My schedule hasn't changed, so she sees me the same time every day for the last three years I've had her. I just don't know why she insists on pooping in the box then peeing right outside it. I've even tried moving her more center in the box when I catch her setting up to pee outside it.
It's to the point where at least once or twice a day I'm cleaning up pee outside her box.
I'm at a loss now. Any suggestions?
