I work at one of the Six Flags amusement parks in Texas. I am paid salary with no overtime. I currently meet the qualifications for the executive exemption, but my salary will not be high enough once the new updates take effect in December. My boss says that it doesn't apply to all states, including Texas, so I won't be eligible. I can't find anything on the DOL website that says this, and I could use some help.
My boss said that the updated FLSA doesn't apply to us working in Texas. Can anyone explain?
