My dad is canadian, mum is polish/thai but she grew up in Poland. I've been living in Canada since I was born and now, when I'm 15... My parents said we're gonna move to Poland!!! I don't know this language at all just like my 7 yrs old brother (except koham che, mama and dada). My mum's sister moved to Poland couple months ago so my mum decided to do the same because she wants to be close to her family. BUT WTF, I WANT TO BE CLOSE TO MY FRIENDS. I've been in Poland about 4 times in my life, my grandma tried to teach me this language but it's too difficult for me XD how to talk with my parents about moving?! What to say? Does anyone know polish and could teach me just a little?? :(

Hey there:D
I've moved to another city too and it worked for me really good .
At first it will be hard as you "lose"your friends and classmates and stuff but believe me it's not that hard.Firstly if your friends are true friends they won't lose contact with you.We live in the 21st century and thank God that facebooka and Skype and ooVoo exist.Plus maybe -you will like your new neighborhood more than your current one.Secondly ,if you want to talk with your parents then it's ok ,go ahead!Tell them how you feel and what are your fears but try to understand them too. They will leave some things behind too .Its not easier for them.
When I was 14 I started taking German lessons and in like 2-3 years I leaned to speak German quite fluently. So don't worry about that! You are still young and I'm sure you will have no problem learning the language .Just try to have an open mind and don't be completely negative about moving!!!!
Wish you the best!!!!!

I'm polish but i live in england, and when i came here first it was quite hard but after a while you get used to the language and you can make out what they say. And to know the language well you could buy some books and learn from them or i could teach you. Also when i came to england i had this teacher that helped me with my language so you might have one too but idk. Also it will be hard to leave your friends you defenetly will make polish friends and i guess you could always come back like for holidays or something? I hope it helped you a little :)
