Hi, My name's Brandon, I'm 25 and I currently live in Maine but I'm planning on moving to Chicago to take classes at Second city and improv Olympic! I need a lot of advice on moving to Chicago. How much money should I save before moving?? I know Chicago is expensive so I'm planning to rent a room and get a job as soon as I get out there! Please any advice would be greatly appreciated

It depends where you will live once you get here. If you're going to live in the city then the rent will cost a lot but if you get an apartment in little village or the west side, suburbs etc it's gonna cost cheaper. Jobs are very easy to get over here so you shouldn't worry about that and apply to all you can!
Save money for food and for the transit line (L) if you won't have a car to use. Also, make sure you're safe at all times and don't be careless when you're out.
