I am an American living in Dubai with my Jordanian husband. He has lived in the UAE all his life (32 years). He has his American Green Card and now we are planning on moving to america where he hopes to work (Illinois or Michigan). He is currently a Marketing FMCG manager in a general company that is well known in the Middle East but not over seas. He has his masters, speaks and writes perfect English (people even pick up a American dialect) he also speaks and writes Arabic. My worries are that he will not find a job in America or that it won't be paying very well. I know it's hard to guess but does anyone has any ideas 1: what type of jobs he can apply for, 2: is working in Dubai a pro or a con in the states, 3: What would general pay be? I'd love to hear opinions from current marketing managers or corporate employees, also everyones thoughts would be so helpful. Thanks everyone.

Im not really sure what fmcg is, but just from the rest of his resume, he could probably get a job inbthe government as a translator. Also, if he has his masters, he's already much more qualified than 90 percent of americans. Dont worry hon, he will me able to find a job. Another thing he could do is apply at any major corporation in the advertising/sales department. They make BIG bucks. Some of the mid - high level marketing people make between 150k-300k or more. He could apply to pretty much any company he wants, and they should be glad to hire him. He could apply to stuff like cocacola, or walmart, or johnson and johnson, or merck, or anything else. Theres no shortness of demand for skilled marketing people.
Thank you so much, that's comforting. Appreciate it.
