So, I have an idea of what my story is, but when I started planning, it had WAY too many cutscenes, and I'm struggling to lessen the amount. I eventually decided to make an animated movie, because it's much easier overall, but the story doesn't work as well without the gameplay mechanics I came up with. I have a decent knowledge of coding, but the only knowledge I have of movies was when I was in a short film my friends made. No sfx, no nothing. Just a basic video.
I either take a longer time and create a game, or just use blender 100% practically and make a movie. Games are my life, but are much harder. Films aren't very appealing to me, but it's easier to do, and it kinda works better. Do I stay with the original plan and do a game, or turn it into a movie and redo some of the story?
Either way, I'm doing what I want to do, which is make something animated and do a soundtrack. I've been very interested in Blender the past few months, and I have a pretty good understanding of it from blender guru and other channels like his, but I still don't know about the license agreement too much. I would obviously mention them in the credits either way, but do I need to give them something for every so much money? Or start once I hit a certain milestone like Unity?
This'll help me quite a bit, so please state a reason for your answer. I want to make a game because I'm more experienced in what makes a good game, but I want to make a movie because it works better. So yeah. Please help
