Replacing the fob I noticed the old banged up one doesn't have the chip. The new one with the chip engaged the immobilizer system and wouldn't start. As soon as I removed the grain of rice rfid chip it started just fine. So I clearly have the system in the car which is supposed to kill the fuel pump if the correct chip is not in key fob but I deffinetley have no chip in my key fob and it starts just fine.
