xlauram's comment: Ask him that you might need it or say that you like to chat to your friend online before you go to sleep, also ask him why he does it, he might be doing it for a good reason, maybe to save money? Hope this helps.

xlauram's answer: Why do you want the internet at night anyway? You should be sleeping, seriously spending your night's on the internet is really not healthy.
Would it be weird if I asked my friend for his friends number even though I haven't met his friend?
