Doug Stevenson's answer: Put one teaspoon of borax into a pail of water with 1/4 cup of baking soda. When you are finished the smell of borax will be overwhelming if there is no air circulation. Therefor make the term scant teaspoon of borax to mean a large kitchen area.

Doug Stevenson's answer: As a tech with the limited information you have provided I would you have the spark plug gapped. (Gapping allows the spark to jump and fire.) Change oil often as this is often the cause for Briggs and Stratton engines to seize.
