Milander's answer: The railroad was first developed in Great Britain by George Stevenson. The USA bought it's first trains and rails from the Stephenson Works (his factories, plural) of Great britain.

Milander's answer: You remove passages that you consider unsuitable for the public who will purchase the book. It's exactly the same as when "they" censor a film and cut scenes that "they" think are unsuitable for people to see.

Milander's answer: Because the water is heating unevenly and part of the water is becoming steam while the rest reamins liquid. The bubbles you see being formed are bubbles of steam not bubbles of air.
