So I'm kind of stuck and salty here. This mcdonalds that I applied for has a thing for being late and untimely on their jobs. I was scheduled an interview twice with them, 1st was the initial interview & 2nd was the interview with the actual manager, both cases I arrived on time and even at least 10 min earlier just to be nice and show I was diligent and competent. However, the supervisor and manager were either both late (had me waiting like 30-45 min) or they left already. On the latter, the manager left when she called me and scheduled my 2nd interview at 5:30 p.m. on that SAME exact day and I said ok I'll be there. I got there on time and I told the employees im here for my interview with the manager and they asked the supervisor so the supervisor came out confused and told me, sorry the manager left already I'll leave her a note and said that you came on time she'll give you a call back. So at this point I'm just like "really? Whatever. Ok I'll just wait. More free time for me yay". But now that the interview is over and they want to hire me, they said they have to order my uniform first and do orientation then I'm really ready to start working. I said ok. I then waited for almost 2 weeks and I still got no call back saying if I have my uniform ready or not so I decide to call them at last. I called the supervisor and I didn't even say a word yet and she started talking and saying "oh steve, hey. I was going to call you to tell you that you have an orientation in 3 days and we don't have your pants or shoes ready b/c of rollback but we have your shirt. Can you come in with your own black pants and shoes?" I said I don't have any black pants (i really dont). She said she would talk to the manager again and she'll give me a call back. I said ok, I'll try to see if I can get a black pant from somewhere but I'll wait for her call. But to be honest, I'm broke and I don't want to buy a black pant if I'm only going to use it for a couple days or weeks for work when I could use that money to get me food or gas. I just got $290 from my EDD and $85 went to car insurance, about $100 went into food and home utility and some went to going out with friends. Plus, if I'm going to start working I won't get paid until probably 1 month later. I'm not really going to be wearing that pants casually anyway either. So my question is, should I go buy a black pant and call them back and tell them I can come in tomorrow or should I wait for them to call me back? I feel like they might never call me back because of my previous interaction with them, but I also don't know how to feel about always being late on my end of their words. Thanks in advance.
