pre calc question.  Answer is -42 but how do you get it?

f(x) = P/(2x^2 - 18)  "Undefined" means f(x) = P/0 but that information is not useful at this point.

3 = P/(2(2)^2 - 18) = P/-10

P = -30

-42 is wrong.
