Mrs Ong made some muffins to sell. 3/4 of them were blueberry muffins and the rest were banana walnut muffins. After selling 210 banana and 5/6 of the blueberry muffins , she had 1/5 of the muffins left.

The first thing we have to do is write out what we know algebraically. If we say that a is the number of blueberry muffins and b is the number of banana walnut muffins then the first thing we know is that she made 3/4 blueberry and 1/4 banana walnut so a equals three times b.
a = 3b
The next thing we know is that 210 banana muffins plus 5/6 of the blueberry muffins comes to 4/5 of all the muffins (because she had one fifth left).
210 + 5a/6 = 4(a+b)/5
Multiply both sides by 5 to get rid of the fraction on the right.
1050 + 25a/6 = 4(a+b)
Multiply both sides by 6 to get ride of the fraction on the left.
6300 + 25a = 24a + 24b
Take 25a from both sides.
24b - a = 6300
Now we'd be stuck except we know (from right up at the top) that a = 3b so we can replace it in the equation.
24b - 3b = 6300
21b = 6300
b = 300
Again we know a = 3b, so a = 900
She made 900 blueberry muffins and 300 banana walnut, so 1200 muffins in total.
Hehe, halfway through working out the answer, I forgot what the actual question was! Thanks for finishing it off.
Now we know, how many muffins she made. The ultimate question was, how many she sold.
210 banana + 900 * 5/6 blueberry = 210 + 750 = 960 muffins in total.
