2bcx-acx=(2cx-2ac)(a+b)
Steps
Multiple on the right side
Subtract 2Bcx on both sides
Sub 2acx from both sides
Factor AC
Divide both sides by three

x = 2(a + b)/3 www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=solve+2bcx-acx%3D(2cx-2ac)(a%2Bb)
You need to work on presentation. A is not a and B is not B and C is not c. A math program will not tell you that you made a spelling mistake, it will just give you goofy answers. I did not verify the given procedure, but I see a mistake where it says to subtract 2acx on both sides and you don't have 2acx on the left side. Spelling again! Spelling mistakes in math are always fatal.
2bcx - acx = (2cx - 2ac)(a + b) | expand
2bcx - acx = 2acx + 2bcx - 2a²c - 2abc | -2bcx
-acx = 2acx - 2a²c .2abc | -2acx
-3acx = -2a²c - 2abc | factor ac
-3x*ac = ac (-2a - 2b) | divide by ac (I think you just forgot to write down this step)
-3x = -2a - 2b | divide immediately by -3 (why 3?)
x = (2a + 2b) / 3 | just take care not to mess up the signs...
That's it.
You can simplify one step further:
x = 2/3 * (a + b)
Thanks :) that's not what I got but now I was wrong. Thanks for the help
But now I know*
